Improving the Professional Competence of Physiotherapy Students, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University Holds Travel Medicine Training Seminar
The Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, through the Travel Medicine Unit, held a Travel Medicine Training Seminar which took place in the Prof. room. Dr. Dr. I Goesti Ngoerah Gde Ngoerah, FK Unud Denpasar Building. (7/6/2024)
The aim of holding this seminar is so that undergraduate students and the physiotherapy profession can understand the science of travel medicine related to physiotherapy and learn medical English to improve professional competence.
This seminar was moderated by the Travel Medicine Unit Coordinator Dr. Dr. Made Agus Hendrayana, M.Kes., by presenting three speakers, namely
1. Govinda Vittala, S.Ft., Ftr., M.Fis., with the topic Physiotherapy in the Field of Travel Medicine.
2. Komang Embun Dini Hari, S.Kes., Ftr., with the topic Sharing Experience of Physiotherapy Services in the Field of Travel Medicine.
3. dr. Made Januarbawa, M.M., with the topic Medical English
This seminar was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. Dr. Komang Januartha Putra Pinatih, M.Kes., who in his speech expressed his great appreciation for holding this seminar because physiotherapy has a very important role where the central government is encouraging the development of tourism in Indonesia, especially in Bali, which is a world tourist destination.
"The hope is that by holding this seminar, physiotherapy students who will complete their studies and continue working in the tourism sector can gain additional knowledge in the field of travel medicine," said Prof. Januartha.
This event was also attended by the Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs and Planning, Dr. Dr. I Gede Eka Wiratnaya, Sp.OT(K)., Coordinator of the Undergraduate Physiotherapy and Physiotherapy Profession Study Program, Dr. Dr. Agung Wiwiek Indrayani, S.Ked., M.Kes., and students of the Physiotherapy and Professional Physiotherapy Study Program.
