Initiation of FK Unud Cooperation with Tsinghua University, China and University of Calgary, Canada

Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Planning of FK Unud, Dr. dr. I Gede Eka Wiratnaya, Sp.OT (K) received Prof. Sen Song, Ph.D., from the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Tsinghua University and Prof. Bin Hu, MD, Ph.D., from the Department of Clinical Neurosciences and Department of Cell Biology and Anatomy, University of Calgary (19/02/2023).

Dr. Eka Wiratnaya expressed his gratitude for the visit of Prof. Bin and Prof. Sen to FK Unud and he hopes that in the future collaboration can continue in the field of Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi with both institutions. 

This meeting was facilitated by the Neuroscience-Artificial Intelligence Study Group of FK Unud which discussed the possibility of collaboration in the utilization of artificial intelligence (AI) in the fields of psychiatry and neurology for medical education, especially research development. 

Prof. Bin and Prof. Sen were very enthusiastic in explaining some of the results of AI research that had been carried out and in relation to medical practice. The follow-up plan for cooperation begins with inviting Prof. Sen, who also serves as Assistant Director at the Tsinghua Laboratory of Brain and Intelligence, as a guest speaker at a seminar to be held by the FK Unud Specialist Study Program in Mental Medicine;

This activity was also attended by the Deputy Dean for Student Affairs and Information, Coordinator of the Mental Medicine Specialist Study Program, Chair of the Department of Psychiatry, Chair of the Department of Neurology, UPIKS Coordinator, and members of the Neuroscience-Artificial Intelligence Study Group.
