International 'Elective Study' Program by BEM FK Unud and UPIKS FK Unud at Wakayama Medical University, Japan

Students from the Undergraduate Medical Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, made proud strides through participation in the Elective Study Program at Wakayama Medical University (WMU), Japan. This program takes place over two clinical rotation periods (4 weeks), namely January 8 - February 2 2024. The implementation of this program is the result of collaboration between BEM FK Unud and the Information Management and Cooperation Unit (UPIKS) FK Unud, marking FK Udayana's commitment to broaden the international horizons and experiences of its students.

The four students who participated in this program were Mira Amba Grace Wrycza, Luh Putu Widya Amritha Dewi, I Made Krishna Putra Pramanda, and Joshua Francisco Syofyan. The departments involved are Emergency, Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Nephrology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, and Orthopedic Surgery.

It is hoped that this activity will not only open up more opportunities for international collaboration in the future but also motivate other Udayana University students to actively participate in similar programs that involve collaboration with external institutions. Hopefully this valuable experience will bring inspiration and new knowledge that can be applied in the development of medical science in Indonesia.
