International Symposium and Initiation of Technical Intern Training Program 2024 is a special competency in Dementia Care for Ners Graduates of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University (FK Unud), this activity is the result of collaboration between FK Unud with Kobe Woman's University and Sumire-kai Medical Coorporation Japan. Dean of FK Unud, Prof. Dr. dr. Komang Januartha Putra Pinatih, M.Kes was invited as a keynote speaker at the International Symposium in Kobe Japan with the theme "Healthy Living for Active Seniors". On this occasion, Prof. Januartha presented a topic on Gut Microbiota and Healthy Aging;

Hosted by moderator Prof. Naemi Kajiwara and Associate Prof. Kinuyo Matsumoto, this activity also presented other speakers, namely:

1. Mr. Maeda Yasuhiro on the topic of Physical Activity for the Seniors in Sumire-kai Institution.

2. Mr. Aihara Yuuki on the topic of Activation of Muscle

3. Assosiate Prof. Ai Kimura with the topic Live Support for the Seniors

4. Dr. dr. Desak Made Wihandani, M.Kes with the topic Activation of Brain

5. Ns. Kadek Eka Swedarma, M.Kes with the topic Brain Exercises for Dementia

Closed with the performance of Jauk Manis Dance, the series of activities of the visit of the Dean of FK Unud and the Team also discussed the development of collaborative research programs, community service and the initiation of the Technical Intern Training Program for special competencies in dementia care facilitated by Prof. Taeko Izumi as head of the elderly care program at Kobe Woman's University Japan.

This program provides an opportunity for Ners FK Unud graduates to be able to improve competence with training and part-time work opportunities for 1 year at the Sumire-kai Medical Coorporation elderly service facility in Japan. After completing the program, it is hoped that graduates can work in Japan or return to Indonesia to develop dementia care competencies in both local and foreign elderly.
