Introduction to Online Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University 2021 Day – 1

Welcoming the New Academic Year 2021, the Faculty of Medicine Unud held an Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University in 2021 online for 2 (two) days starting 18-19 August 2021

This event was attended online by all Deans, Study Program Coordinators, Heads of Departments, Unit Coordinators, and Administrative Coordinators along with Sub-Coordinators at the Faculty of Medicine, Unud.

The event began with a report from the Chairperson of the 2021 PKKMB Committee / Deputy Dean for Academic and Planning Dr. dr. I Dewa Made Sukrama, MSi.,SpMK(K) who expressed his welcome to new students and reported the number of PKKMB participants from all Undergraduate Study Programs, namely 736 New Students and 25 Old Students.

Followed by remarks from the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. dr. I Ketut Suyasa, Sp.B., Sp.OT(K) who also directly opened the event, and in his speech, he expressed his welcome and congratulations on becoming a big family of the Faculty of Medicine, Unud, and hopes that this PKKMB event can strengthen the bond family gathering at the Faculty of Medicine even though it was held online in the midst of a pandemic.

On this occasion, the Dean also advised "Although in this new era of life we are separated from each other because we will meet more often online, don't let our enthusiasm for learning relax!" he said while encouraging new students.

The implementation of the PKKMB of the Faculty of Medicine in 2021 this time with the theme *"With the Spirit of Nationalism, We Improve the Character and Integrity of Students to Realize Competitive and Innovative Human Resources in the Era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 in a New Era Order"* .

The first day of the PKKMB 2021 event was filled with presentations from faculty leaders including:

1. Character Building and 4 Pillars of Nationality by the Dean of FK Unud Prof.Dr.dr. I Ketut Suyasa, SpB.,SpOT(K)

2. Academic Culture in the Tri Dharma of Higher Education by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Planning, Dr. dr. I Dewa Made Sukrama, MSi., SpMK(K)

3. Governance, Sarpras and Adjustment of Education Implementation in the Era of the Industrial Revolution and New Life after the Pandemic by the Deputy Dean for General Affairs and Finance Prof.Dr.dr. AA Wiradewi Lestari, S.Ked., SpPK(K)

4. Soft Skill Training Through Student Organizations by the Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Information Dr. dr. I Made Sudarmaja, M.Kes

The purpose of holding this event is to introduce, prepare and accelerate new students in the transition process to become students who are aware of their rights and obligations so that they can support the success of their studies in higher education.
