Joining the Temobstatic Team, Udayana Medical Faculty Students Win Favorite Presentation Champion at the 37th National Student Scientific Week (PIMNAS) in 2024


The National Student Scientific Week (PIMNAS) is the most prestigious student innovation and research competition organized by the National Achievement Center and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia. This year, the 37th PIMNAS was held at Airlangga University, Surabaya, on October 14-18, 2024, with a total attendance of 3,500 participants from 525 teams from 118 universities throughout Indonesia.


Under the guidance of Prof. I Wayan Widhiada, ST., M.Sc., Ph.D, the Temobstatic Team from Udayana University won the Favorite Presentation Champion award. The team consists of 2 students from the Faculty of Medicine and 3 students from the Faculty of Engineering, namely

1. Raissa Fatiny Maharani (Medicine)

2. I Komang Chandra Yogananda (Medicine)

3. I Dewa Gede Agung Eka Putra (Mechanical Engineering)

4. Made Adi Guna Dharma (Mechanical Engineering), and

5. I Gede Febri Bala Antara (Mechanical Engineering).


Temobstatic (Diabetic Retinopathy Progression Observation System with Object Detection Machine Learning-Based Eye Geometry Modeling) applies an eyeball geometry model and machine learning technology to monitor the progression of retinopathy due to diabetes mellitus, which is one of the pressing health problems at the international level.


In the future, the Temobstatic Team plans to develop a prototype by modifying and improving the design, as well as validating medical devices to support the commercialization process. The team also hopes to continue to coordinate with Udayana University in supporting the sustainability of this innovative program.
