JUDISIUM AND THANKSGIVING DOCTOR SPECIALIST SURGICAL FOR THE 66th CLASS

Thursday, September 24, 2020 is a special day where on that day the Educational Institute for Surgical Doctors, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University again held a graduation and thanksgiving event for new surgeons. The event was held in the meeting room of the Department of Surgery Sanglah Hospital, 3 new surgical specialist graduates:

1. dr. Nyoman Maharmaya, M. Biomed, Sp.B

2. dr. Hezekia Robinson Junsen Lumban Gaol, Sp.B

3. dr. I Gusti Ngurah Purnomo, Sp.B

The graduates looked very enthusiastic and excited to participate in this event. Enthusiastic and grateful faces appeared from every graduate who was present at the event location even though the event on this occasion was held in accordance with government regulations where every event was held following the health protocols as stated in the regulations that had been made because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The event opens right at 11.00 noon. The event began with singing the national anthem Indonesia Raya and continued with a prayer. Because dr. I Ketut Wiargitha, Sp.B(K) Trauma, FINACS who was unable to attend the event offline, so dr. Putu Anda Tusta Adiputra, SpB(K)Onk, FINACS were appointed to officially open this event. In his remarks, he advised every new graduate to remember the importance of the initial vision and mission when starting life in the resident world, what goals they want to achieve, and what struggles they have gone through to finally get to this point. The new graduates are expected to always focus on the next steps to be taken and maintain the principle that the medical profession will always have an important role in the service process in the community and improving the quality of health services. Then the remarks and graduation remarks delivered by Prof. Dr. dr Sri Maliawan, Sp.BS(K), FICS also said that the importance of the surgical profession that has been achieved is an extraordinary choice and hopes that new graduates can become surgeons who always carry the slogan "Be The Best I Can Do"

The event was also attended by the Head of the General Surgery Study Program, dr. I Ketut Wiargitha, Sp.B(K) Trauma, FINACS, Dr. dr. Anak Agung Gede Oka, Sp.U(K) through the zoom meeting application in accordance with the pandemic protocol, dr. I Wayan Periadijaya, Sp.B(K) Trauma, KKL, FICS, FINACS, dr. Ida Bagus Budiarta, Sp.B(K) V, and other surgical teaching staff who also participated in this activity through the media zoom meeting. Then the event continued with a ceremonial kissing of the red and white flag accompanied by the song Bagimu Negeri by the graduates. The new surgeon, represented by dr. I Gusti Ngurah Purnomo, Sp.B gave a few words about messages and impressions during the resident education process. The event continued with a procession of certificates handed over from several study program coordinators to new surgical specialists represented by dr. Putu Anda Tusta Adiputra, SpB(K)Onk, FINACS and also by dr. Ida Bagus Budiarta, Sp.B(K) V. The event closed with the presentation of a memento from the New Surgeon, represented by dr. Nyoman Maharmaya, M. Biomed, Sp.B to the Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, UNUD, which was received by dr. I Wayan Periadijaya, Sp.B(K) Trauma, KKL, FICS, FINACS. There are also souvenirs from the resident representative represented by dr. Aryo Wibisono as the Chief Surgical Resident on duty which was then assigned to a new surgical specialist. After the ceremonial event was held, the event closed with lunch provided following the health protocols applicable in the era of the COVID-19 pandemic while listening to the music of the surgical band "WARS".

We congratulate and are proud of the new surgeons who have graduated during this period. Hopefully the graduates will always be successful and be able to make the alma mater and family proud in health services to the community in the future.
