JUDISIUM AND THANKSGIVING DOCTOR SPECIALIST SURGICAL FOR THE 67th CLASS

It is a special day for the Educational Institution of Surgical Specialists, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, because on that day there was another graduation ceremony and thanksgiving for the new surgeons. This judicial event is the second event held during the pandemic. The event was held following the health protocol due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The event was held in the meeting room of the Department of Surgery Sanglah Hospital, 3 new surgeon graduates:

dr. Danny Zefanya Mooy, Sp.B dr. Jetty Kalembang, Sp.B dr. Dewa Nyoman Putra Adiwinata, Sp.B

The three graduates looked very enthusiastic and excited to participate in this event. Happy and enthusiastic faces radiated from the three graduates who were present at the event location even though the event on this occasion was held in accordance with government regulations where every event was held following the health protocols in accordance with the regulations that had been made because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The event is carried out offline with a limited number of participants and seats are spaced 1 empty seat. The event was also covered with media zoom so that family or friends could also witness the release of a new surgical specialist. The event opens right at 11.00 noon. The event began with singing the national anthem Indonesia Raya and continued with a prayer. Then the event continued with a speech from the head of the surgical study program at Sanglah Hospital, namely dr. I Ketut Wiargitha, Sp.B(K) Trauma, FINACS and at the same time officially opened this event.

In his remarks, he advised every new graduate to remember the importance of the initial vision and mission when starting life in the resident world, what goals they want to achieve, and what struggles they have gone through to finally get to this point. The new graduates are expected to always focus on the steps that will be taken in the future and keep the principle that the medical profession will always have an important role in the service process in the community and improving the quality of health services.

The event then continued with remarks and graduation remarks delivered by Prof. Dr. dr. Ida Bagus Tjakra Wibawa Manuaba, MPH, Sp.B(K)Onk, FinaCS also congratulated the three new surgical specialist graduates. He conveyed his congratulations online through the media zoom. He also conveyed things that need to be considered in surgical education, namely "learning curve" and "patient volume". Prof Tjakra also conveyed the importance of a surgeon having courage based on knowledge and wisdom.

The event continued with the ceremonial kissing of the red and white flag by the three new surgical graduates accompanied by the song Bagimu Negeri by the three new surgical specialist graduates. The next event was the procession of handing over the certificate by the head of the surgical study program, dr. I Ketut Wiargitha, Sp.B(K) Trauma, FINACS to the three new surgical specialist graduates and followed by a group photo with the three new surgical specialist graduates. The next event was the delivery of impressions and messages during his residency at Sanglah Hospital Denpasar by a new surgical specialist graduate represented by dr. Danny Zefanya Mooy, Sp.B.

The event closed with the presentation of a memento from the New Surgeon, represented by dr. Danny Zefanya Mooy, Sp.B to the Surgical Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, UNUD, which was received by dr. I Komang Weka Sp. B. There were also souvenirs from the resident representative represented by dr. Silvester Kristian Taopan as the representative of the surgical resident. This event was also attended by Dr. dr. Anak Agung Gede Oka, Sp.U(K), dr I Made Darmajaya Sp.B (K)BA MARS, dr. Made Agus Dwiyanthara Sueta Sp.B-KBD ,dr. Ida Bagus Budiarta, Sp.B(K)V and other surgical teaching staff who also participated in this activity.

After the ceremonial event was held, the event closed with lunch provided following the health protocols applicable in the era of the COVID-19 pandemic while listening to the music of the surgical band "WARS".

We congratulate and are proud of the new surgeons who have graduated during this period. Hopefully the graduates will always be successful and be able to make the alma mater and family proud in health services to the community in the future.
