Meeting for the Establishment of a Travel Health Service Network and Travel Medicine Training

The Department of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, Faculty of Medicine Unud held a meeting for the Establishment of a Tourism Health Service Network as well as Travel Medicine Training for doctors who provide services in tourist destinations in Bali which was opened directly by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Dr.dr. I Komang Januarta Putra Pinatih, M.Kes. On this occasion the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Unud expressed his gratitude for the presence of colleagues who were present today where we will discuss how we carry out cooperation in the field of travel medicine, how we will face the invasion of foreign workers in the health sector. We have to be ready, lest later as an area that has tourism that is a mainstay of foreign exchange and is well-known throughout the world, it will only become a spectator in the development of travel health. Therefore, we must strengthen the ranks among us both in terms of education and health services for the development of public health, we must unite to strengthen our internals so that we can become the main players, lest we become backup players of his words. This activity is one of the efforts of FK Unud in realizing the vision of excellence in the field of Travel Health and Travel Medicine
The purpose of the meeting is to provide tourism health surveillance data and improve tourism health services in Bali. The event was attended by the Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Information, dr. I Made Ady Wirawan, MPH, PhD, Head of the Bali Provincial Health Office dr. Ketut Suarjaya, MPPM. The chairman of the Bali Tourism Medical Association (Perkedwi), Dr. dr. I Made Susila Utama, SpPD-KPTI, FINASIM, and the Head of IDI Denpasar, dr. I Ketut Widiyasa, MPH. The participants of the meeting were doctors at clinics serving tourists in Bali Province, doctors at hospitals serving tourists, the Travel Medicine Unit of FK Unud and representatives from the Travel Medicine Unit, FKIK Unwar, and FK Undiksha.
