National Seminar: From Burnout to Balance: Empowering Gen Z Toward a Healthier Life
The Hippocrates Scientific Group (KIH) of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, successfully held the 2026 KIH National Seminar, themed "From Burnout to Balance: Empowering Gen Z Toward a Healthier Life." The seminar took place in the Djelantik Room, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Denpasar, on Saturday, July 11, 2026.
The event began with remarks and an official opening by the Vice Dean for Academic and Planning, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. I Made Ady Wirawan, S.Ked., MPH., Ph.D., accompanied by KIH Advisor, Ns. Ni Putu Emy Darma Yanti, S.Kep., M.Kep. The opening ceremony was marked by the striking of a gong three times to symbolize the start of the event.
In his remarks, Prof. Ady Wirawan expressed his appreciation for the 2026 KIH National Seminar, which demonstrates the students' contribution to providing educational and beneficial activities for the community. He also warmly welcomed all participants, especially prospective new students, and hoped that this activity would be a positive initial experience for them to familiarize themselves with the academic environment of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University. He also emphasized that burnout is a real challenge faced by many Generation Z. Therefore, he hoped that all participants would enthusiastically participate in each seminar session, actively engage in discussions, and implement the knowledge gained in their daily lives to achieve a balance between achievement, physical health, and mental health.
The 2026 KIH National Seminar was attended by students and prospective new students and featured two experts in their fields: Nago Tejena, M.Psi., Psychologist, who presented "Burnout in Gen Z: Between Ambition and Expectations," and Dr. Rini Martina Siallagan, Sp.GK, delivered the keynote speech "Nourish to Flourish: Healthy Lifestyle to Prevent Burnout in Gen Z," moderated by David Christopher Tjandra, the 2024 National Outstanding Student Awardee.
Through inspiring presentations, interactive discussion sessions, and active participant participation, the 2026 KIH National Seminar is expected to raise awareness of the importance of maintaining mental health, developing healthy lifestyles, and encouraging the younger generation to strike a balance between productivity, physical health, and mental well-being amidst the dynamics of modern life.
