Opening of the 2025 National Dental Health Month (BKGN) at Udayana University
The Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, through the Undergraduate Program in Dentistry and Dentistry Profession (PSSKGPDG), in collaboration with the Udayana University Dental and Oral Hospital (RSGM), PT. Unilever Indonesia, and Pepsodent, organized a series of activities for the 2025 National Dental Health Month (BKGN) with the theme "Teeth and Gum Check-Up - Free of Charge, Worry-Free, Hassle-Free." The official opening took place on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at the Udayana University Dental and Oral Hospital in Jimbaran.
The event began with a report from the Chair of the Committee, Dr. Putu Mariati Kaman Dewi, Sp.KG., followed by remarks from the Director of the Udayana University Dental and Oral Hospital, Dr. drg. Putu Ratna Kusumadewi Giri, Sp.KG., and a speech from PT Unilever Indonesia, represented by the Deputy Account Manager for Bali, Mr. Ade Zulfikar Abraham Iqbal, M.B.A.
The event was opened by the Vice Dean for Academic and Planning, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. I Md. Ady Wirawan, MPH., Ph.D., who in his remarks expressed his warm welcome to the collaboration between Udayana University and PT Unilever Indonesia. He expressed his highest appreciation for the simultaneous event, which was held throughout Indonesia and for Udayana University's involvement, which had a significant impact on the surrounding community in maintaining healthy teeth, gums, and mouth. Prof. Ady also expressed his appreciation to all the committee members involved for their hard work in making this event a success.
The 2025 National Dental Health Month (BKGN) activities at Udayana University included dental and gum health education, free dental check-ups for the community, including scaling, simple fillings, simple extractions, and dental consultations. This three-day series of activities includes the School Health Program (SHP) and various competitions and educational entertainment. Through the 2025 BKGN, it is hoped that public awareness of the importance of maintaining healthy teeth and gums will increase.
