Pioneering a Hospital-Based Thoracic, Cardiac, and Vascular Surgery (TCVS) Residency Program: Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University Hosts Delegation from Dr. Hasan Sadikin Central General Hospital, Bandung

The Faculty of Medicine at Udayana University (FK Unud) welcomed a delegation from Dr. Hasan Sadikin Central General Hospital (RSUP Dr. Hasan Sadikin), Bandung. The meeting took place in the Dean’s Meeting Room, located on the third floor of the Faculty of Medicine building at the Sudirman Campus, Denpasar, on Monday, October 19, 2026.

The visit served as an initial exploration of a potential partnership regarding the preparation and implementation of a hospital-based residency program in Thoracic, Cardiac, and Vascular Surgery (TCVS).

The delegation from RSUP Dr. Hasan Sadikin, Bandung, was led by its President Director, Dr. H. Rachim Dinata Marsidi, Sp.B., FINACS., M.Kes. They were received by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Udayana University, Prof. Dr. dr. I Gede Eka Wiratnaya, Sp.OT., Subsp.Onk.Ort.R(K), who was accompanied by Dr. dr. Ketut Putu Yasa, Sp.B., Sp.BTKV., Subsp.VE(K)., FICS., representing the Thoracic, Cardiac, and Vascular Surgery residency program at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University.

During the meeting, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Udayana University expressed his deep appreciation and gratitude for the trust placed in the institution by RSUP Dr. Hasan Sadikin, Bandung, in selecting the Faculty of Medicine at Udayana University as a strategic institutional partner for the development of this hospital-based residency program.

This significant meeting was also attended by members of the board of directors and management team from RSUP Dr. Hasan Sadikin, Bandung, including Dr. Fitra Hergyana, Sp.DVE., FINSDV., MH.Kes., MM. (Director of Human Resources, Education, and Research), Dr. dr. Mia Milanti Dewi, Sp.A(K), M.Kes.; (Head of the Rapid Response Unit/URC), dr. Nina Susana Dewi, Sp.PK, Subsp.H.K(K), M.Kes., MMRD; Dr. dr. Ruswana Anwar, Sp.OG, Subsp.FER, M.Kes.; dr. Fina Maliyana Andriyani, Sp.A(K), M.Kes.; and Ibnu Fajar, S.H., M.H.

The event concluded with a technical discussion session for initial coordination, a group photograph, and the exchange of official tokens of appreciation between the institutions.
