Policy Forum: Optimizing Readiness for Implementation of Primary Health Care Integration in Badung Regency
The Department of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University as part of the Primary Health Care (PHC) Consortium (together with the Ministry of Health, Thinkwell Institute, Universities, and other partners) has conducted several studies related to the readiness of ILP implementation in Badung Regency which were then disseminated in this Policy Forum.
The Policy Forum was held on Monday, October 21, 2024 at the Golden Tulip Jineng Resort, Kuta, Badung, Bali. The activity began with remarks by representatives of the PHC Consortium, Ni Made Dian Kurniasari, S.KM, M.PH and the Coordinator of the Undergraduate Public Health Study Program, dr. Putu Ayu Swandewi Astuti, MPH, Ph.D. Then the activity was officially opened by the Head of the Badung Regency Health Office, dr. Made Padma Puspita, Sp.PD. The activity was continued with the delivery of material related to ILP in Badung Regency which was delivered by drg. Ni Made Suhartini, M.M as Head of Public Health Division of Badung Regency Health Office, and Dr. dr. Ni Made Sri Nopiyani, MPH and dr. Putu Ayu Swandewi Astuti, MPH, Ph.D. as representatives of the PHC Consortium moderated by Dinar Saurmauli Lubis, S.KM., MPH, Ph.D. who is also a representative of the PHC Consortium.
In addition, this activity also held an FGD attended by 85 people consisting of policy makers, service providers (health centers and health posts), and health cadres throughout Badung Regency to formulate strategic steps in increasing the role and capacity of Posyandu cadres in supporting the implementation of ILP.
The results of this Policy Forum activity are expected to be one of the considerations for developing strategic steps to create an effective implementation of ILP in Badung Regency.
