Policy Forum: Optimizing the Role and Capacity of Health Cadres in the Implementation of Primary Health Care Integration

 

The Bachelor of Public Health Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, as part of the PHC Consortium with the Ministry of Health, ThinkWell Institute, and other partners, held a Policy Forum on the Study Results of Optimizing the Role and Capacity of Health Cadres in the Implementation of Primary Health Care Integration (ILP). This activity was carried out in a hybrid manner with the main location point at HARRIS Hotel & Residence Sunset Road on Tuesday, November 26, 2024.


The purpose of this activity is to disseminate the results of studies related to the role of villages / sub-districts to strengthen cadres in the implementation of ILP. As well as, discuss strategic efforts across sectors to strengthen the role and capacity of cadres in the implementation of ILP in Badung Regency.


The Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Information, Prof. dr. Ady Wirawan, MPH, Ph.D, who attended offline gave a speech as the organizer of the activity by conveying FK Unud's involvement in assisting the implementation of ILP in Badung Regency and giving appreciation for the cooperation of all parties. The event was officially opened by the Regional Secretary of Badung Regency represented by Mrs. Raka Setiawati. In her speech, she expressed her appreciation for the cross-sector collaboration that has been successfully established to strengthen primary health care in Badung Regency.

This activity presented eight resource persons who are competent in their fields, including:

4. Ir. Eppy Lugiarti, MP - Directorate of Socio-Cultural and Environmental Development of Villages and Rural Areas, Directorate General of Village and Rural Development, Ministry of Villages PDTT

5. Raden Kunrat, ST, MT - Directorate of Facilitation of Village Community and Customary Institutions, Family Empowerment and Welfare (PKK) and Integrated Service Posts (Posyandu), Directorate General of Village Administration, Ministry of Home Affairs

Participants who attended this activity included representatives from the Bali Provincial Health Office, Badung Regency Health Office, Badung Regency Regional Planning and Development Agency, Badung Regency Village Community Empowerment Office, Badung Regency Population Control, Family Planning, Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Office, Badung Regency PKK Movement Team, Sub-District Heads, Heads of Puskesmas in Badung Regency, Person in Charge of Sub-Health Centers, and Village Heads in Badung Regency.


This forum is expected to be a strategic step to increase the contribution of health cadres in the implementation of ILP. In addition, this activity also aims to strengthen cross-sectoral synergies for the achievement of more integrated, effective and quality health services in Badung Regency. From yesterday's forum, a follow-up plan was obtained related to the formation of Regent Regulation regulations on the implementation of ILP and also financing arrangements related to incentives for pustu cadres and posyandu cadres.
