Preparations for the Establishment of a Primary Care Family Medicine Specialist Study Program at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University

In response to the global and national challenges of increasing access to primary care family medicine specialist education in Indonesia, the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, held a socialization meeting to discuss the proposed proposal for a Primary Care Family Medicine Specialist Study Program. This meeting took place in the Prof. Dr. I Goesti Ngoerah Gde Ngoerah Room, Faculty of Medicine Building, Udayana University, Denpasar, on November 6, 2025.

The socialization meeting was led by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. dr. I Gede Eka Wiratnaya, Sp.O.T., Subsp.Onk.Ort.R(K), and was accompanied by the Vice Dean for Academic and Planning, Prof. Dr. I Md. Ady Wirawan, MPH., Ph.D., for the Vice Dean for Academic and Planning. The socialization session discussed preparations for the establishment of a Primary Care Family Medicine Specialist Study Program with the heads or representatives of departments involved in clinical education within the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University.

Following the socialization and coordination, a presentation was presented by Dr. dr. Putu Aryani, MIH., Sp.KKLP. Sub.Sp.COPC., as Chair of the Task Force for the Preparation of the Establishment of the Primary Care Family Medicine Specialist Study Program, on the curriculum roadmap and shared competencies.

This socialization is expected to provide initial information and can be followed up by developing an educational and practical curriculum for students in the Primary Care Family Medicine Specialist Study Program.

The event was also attended by the Heads of Departments and the Task Force Team for the Preparation of the Establishment of the Primary Care Family Medicine Specialist Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University.
