PRIMARY COURSE OF GENERAL BASIC COURSES (MKDU)

General Basic Course (MKDU) is one of the compulsory subjects that must be given in universities. For new students in the Professional Engineer, Masters, Doctoral and Odd Semester 2020 Specialist Programs, they are required to take these courses. For the odd semester of 2020, this time the Udayana Surgery Specialist Study Program has determined 16 doctors to be allowed to study as PPDS General Surgery. This inaugural lecture will be held on September 14, 2020 at 08.30-12.00 WITA. This event is different from the previous MKDU, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, lectures are held online via Webex / Live Youtube and the participants are in their respective homes. This was carried out based on government recommendations to reduce the chain of spread of Covid 19.

The inaugural lecture was opened by Prof. DR. dr. AA Raka Sudewi, Sp.S (K), he is the Chancellor of Udayana University. In his remarks, he said, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, learning will be held online during the 2020-2021 odd semester academic year. He also advised that the teaching and learning process must continue and remain productive, even though the process must be carried out online.

In the lecture it was explained that the Udayana Surgery Specialist Study Program was accredited A, and in the future it is targeted to be internationally accredited. The lecture was also attended by KPS Surgeon Specialist Study Program, dr. I Ketut Wiargitha, Sp.B (K) Trauma. Currently, there are 115 doctors in the General Surgery Specialist Study Program, and it is targeted that in 8 (eight) semesters the doctors can complete their studies. One of the participants said that this lecture was very important and useful, because by holding this lecture, new students could fully know Udayana University.
