Promoting Workplace Well-being and Performance of Civil Servants: Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University (FK Unud) and the Bali Provincial Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM) Conduct Psychological Profiling for Executive Officials

The Bachelor’s Degree Program in Psychology at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University (FK Unud), has carried out a community service initiative as part of a strategic partnership with the Bali Provincial Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM). Centered on the theme "Synergy in Strengthening Leadership Capacity and Workplace Well-being for Bali Provincial Government Executives through Psychological Profiling," the event took place on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, in the Prof. dr. I Goesti Ngoerah Gde Ngoerah Meeting Room, located on the 4th floor of the FK Unud building at the Sudirman Campus, Denpasar.

Prior to overseeing the technical implementation, the Governor of Bali took the time to visit classrooms, greeting students during their lectures and posing for photographs with them.

This community service initiative involved a psychological profiling assessment for 40 high-ranking officials (Pejabat Pimpinan Tinggi Pratama) within the Bali Provincial Government. The assessment focuses on gaining a comprehensive understanding of the officials' psychological states, with the goal of fostering a healthy work environment and optimizing public service performance. The profiling covers personality structure and work-related needs, personality dynamics and emotional regulation, as well as self-perception and leadership styles.

The execution of this strategic initiative was made possible through the guidance and full support of the FK Unud leadership, including the Dean, Prof. Dr. dr. I Gede Eka Wiratnaya, Sp.O.T., Subsp. Onk.Ort.R(K), and the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. dr. I Made Ady Wirawan, MPH, Ph.D., and Vice Dean for Planning, Resources, and Partnerships Prof. Dr. dr. I Made Muliarta, S.Ked., M.Kes., provided oversight, with intensive coordination from the Coordinator of the Bachelor’s Program in Psychology, Made Diah Lestari, S.Psi., M.Psi., Ph.D.

The technical execution in the field was led by Komang Rahayu Indrawati, S.Psi., M.Si., supported by a team of lecturers from the Psychology Study Program at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University (FK Unud)—namely Ni Made Ari Wilani, S.Psi., M.Psi. (Psychologist), Putu Yoga Sukma Pratama, S.Psi., M.Psi. (Psychologist), and Komang Meydiana Hutama Putri, S.Psi., M.Psi. (Psychologist). Seven students also participated, assisting the team of psychologists throughout the assessment process.

The activities began with an explanation of the technical guidelines for the psychological testing, delivered by the Team Leader. The assessment session commenced at 09:00 WITA (Central Indonesian Time) and proceeded smoothly and orderly until its conclusion at 12:00 WITA. During the event, the Governor of Bali, Dr. Ir. I Wayan Koster, M.M., paid a visit to observe the proceedings firsthand.

It is hoped that the psychological mapping results obtained from this initiative will serve as a strategic reference for the Regional Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM) of the Bali Provincial Government in maintaining the psychological well-being of officials, thereby strengthening their leadership capacity. Furthermore, this engagement is expected to mark the beginning of an ongoing synergy between the Faculty of Medicine at Udayana University, the BKPSDM, and the Bali Provincial Government—encompassing community service, collaborative research, and sustainable human resource development.
