Raising Awareness of Dental and Oral Health, Dentistry Students Hold Community Service in Kedonganan Traditional Village, Badung
The Dentistry Student Association has implemented Dental Health Promotion and Prevention (DENTIN) 2024 with the theme "Raising Awareness of Dental and Oral Health in the Community to Achieve Healthy Smiles and Happy Lives" which took place at the Wantilan of Kedonganan Traditional Village, Badung on Sunday, September 8, 2024. This activity was chaired by Ni Kadek Riyoni Kumala Narungan, a student of the PSSKGPDG FK Udayana class of 2022.
DENTIN 2024 is one of the work programs of Field III of PENGMAS (Community Service) HMKG FK Unud which was attended by the Head of Kedonganan Traditional Village I Wayan Sutarja, Head of Kelurahan Development Section of Kedonganan Village Wayan Sugita, Deputy Head of Kedonganan Traditional Village Nyoman Sudata, Deputy Dean for Student Affairs and Information FK Unud Prof. dr. I Made Ady Wirawan, MPH., Ph.D., Director of the Unud Dental and Oral Hospital drg. Putu Ratna Kusumadewi Giri, Sp.KG., HMKG Supervisor drg. Desak Nyoman Ari Susanti, M.Kes., PSSKGPDG Lecturer drg. Sari Kusumadewi, M.Biomed and drg. Nyoman Ayu Anggayanti, Sp.BM., Co-Ass PSSKGPDG class of 2018, Chairperson of BEM FK Udayana represented by Octavia Windra and Chairperson of HMKG Luh Devany Natania Wikarsa.
The activity began with the delivery of the event schedule by the MC, prayer, singing the song Indonesia Raya and the Hymn FK Unud, the report of the chairman of the DENTIN committee, remarks from the guests as well as the official opening of the event, socialization about dental and oral health, health services in the form of free dental check-ups, and distribution of gifts. Furthermore, the event continued with the symbolic handover of donations and plaques to the village, and closing.
DENTIN 2024 successfully held free dental check-ups for a total of 58 people around Kedonganan Traditional Village. Hopefully, this activity can be beneficial for the community and increase public awareness of the importance of dental and oral health.
