Second International 'Elective Study' Program in 2024, Synergy between FK Udayana and Kobe Women's University, Japan

Through the International BEM FK Unud and UPIKS FK Unud programs, students from the Undergraduate Medicine Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, namely Chrysanta Aldora Mintoraharjo, Felisia, and Kylie Wingel, have participated in a student exchange program held at Kobe Women's University, Japan. The program takes place from January 15, 2024 to February 14, 2024.

In the first week of activities, they underwent a series of exploratory activities, namely campus introductions to discussion of material about health conditions in Japan, research preparation, and presentations on Indonesia's health conditions related to Diabetes Mellitus and palliative care. Apart from that, they are also given the opportunity to understand Japanese culture through visits to schools, museums, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and tourist attractions.

Hopefully this valuable experience will not only increase their knowledge about the Japanese health system and culture, but also inspire them to contribute more to the development of medical science in the country.
