Strengthening Cross-Field Relationships between Academics and the Martial Art of Shorinji Kempo.
The Neurosurgery Specialist Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, held the 2025 NSU Cup Shorinji Kempo as part of the Neurosurgery Specialist Study Program's anniversary celebrations. The event took place on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the Lila Bhuana Denpasar Sports Hall, 2nd Floor.
The opening ceremony of the championship began with remarks from the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. dr. I Gede Eka Wiratnaya, Sp.OT. Subs. Onk. Ort. R(K); the Coordinator of the Neurosurgery Specialist Study Program, Prof. Dr. dr. Tjokorda Gde Bagus Mahadewa, S.Ked., M.Kes., Sp.BS(K); the Chef de Clinique of the Neurosurgery Specialist Study Program; the Denpasar Perkemi Board; and the WKSO Instructor from the Japan Federation.
This event was attended by 114 kenshi from 10 dojos in the Denpasar area. The participants demonstrated a strong spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie throughout the competition. In addition to being a competitive event, this event also aimed to strengthen relationships between dojos and strengthen the character and discipline of the kenshi.
The overall winners of the 2025 NSU Cup Shorinji Kempo were as follows:

This event was held smoothly and enthusiastically thanks to the support of various parties. It served as an important opportunity to foster a spirit of togetherness, uphold the values ​​of sportsmanship, and strengthen cross-disciplinary relationships between the academic world and the Shorinji Kempo martial art.
Through this event, it is hoped that the spirit of "Ken Zen Ichinyo," the unity of body and soul, will continue to serve as a guideline for building achievement, discipline, and integrity, both in the medical and sports fields.
