Strengthening Medical E-Resources: Faculty of Medicine Udayana University Hosts Wolters Kluwer Ovid Visit and Demonstration
The Faculty of Medicine at Udayana University (FK Unud) hosted a strategic visit from the Medical Sales Executive of iGroup (Asia Pacific) to introduce and demonstrate the Wolters Kluwer platform. The meeting took place in the Dean's Meeting Room on the third floor of the FK Unud building in Denpasar.
The visit by the Wolters Kluwer Ovid representative aimed to introduce a state-of-the-art digital health literature database to the academic community. The introduction of this platform is expected to support the availability of high-quality scientific references within the campus environment.
The iGroup (Asia Pacific) delegation was led by Ms. Suzan Cheang, Business Manager for Wolters Kluwer Malaysia, accompanied by Feby, S.Biotech., Medical Representative for iGroup Asia Pacific Ltd. The team was warmly welcomed by the Coordinator of the Information Management and Cooperation Unit (UPIKS) at FK Unud, Dr. dr. Ida Ayu Ika Wahyuniari, S.Ked., M.Kes.
The event began with a presentation by Ms. Suzan Cheang regarding Wolters Kluwer's capabilities as a health learning database. The agenda continued with an in-depth discussion on the strategic role of Wolters Kluwer Ovid in providing top-tier medical e-resources—including scientific journals and digital books—that offer flexible access anytime and anywhere.
Beyond introducing the system, the meeting also addressed how teaching staff at Udayana University could optimize their roles in curriculum design and student competency development. Discussions focused specifically on strengthening digital literature resources in the fields of Physiology and Anatomy.
Key faculty members attended the visit, including the Coordinator of the Undergraduate Medical Study Program, the Heads of the Departments of Anatomy, Histology, and Physiology, as well as the management team from the FK Unud UPIKS.
