Student Release Ceremony for Health Care Ambassadors, Behavior Change Ambassadors and the Tracing Team

The Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University held a Student Release as Behavior Change Ambassadors, Health Protocol Ambassadors, and Tracing Teams, Saturday (29/5/2021) in the AA Made Djelantik Meeting Room.

This activity was attended by the Governor of Bali who was represented by the Regional Secretary as well as the Daily Chair of the Covid-19 Task Force, Kasdam IX Udayana, Kakesdam IX Udayana, Bali Police Chief and staff, Head of the Bali Provincial Health Office, Bali BPBD Kalaksa, District Head Gojek Bali Nusra, University Chancellor. Udayana, Chair of the Senate of Udayana University, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and staff, Deans or representatives from each faculty, and students.

The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Prof. Dr. dr. I Ketut Suyasa, Sp.B., Sp.OT(K) in his speech said that this program will also be converted to Semester Credit Units (SKS) as part of the education process. According to the Dean, through this program students can not only study in class, but are also invited to study in the community.

Discipline of health protocols is the main step in preventing the transmission of Covid-19. For this reason, the Faculty of Medicine also involves students by going into the community to strengthen the implementation of health protocols.

On this occasion he also reported several activities resulting from the synergy between FK Unud, TNI-POLRI and the Bali Provincial Government

Udayana University Chancellor Prof. Dr. dr. AA Raka Sudewi, Sp.S(K) also hopes that the steps taken by Udayana University can help the government and the community in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic.

Bali Police Chief Inspector General. Pol. Drs. Putu Jayaan Danu Putra and Kasdam IX/Udayana Brigadier General Harfendi, SIP, M.Sc who attended this activity also appreciated the steps of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University. Both the Bali Police Chief and Kasdam IX/Udayana hope that the synergy between the local government, TNI, Polri, universities, and the community will continue to be established to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic.

Regional Secretary and Daily Chair of the Covid-19 Task Force Dewa Made Indra in his remarks said, Udayana University had been involved and took a role in handling the Covid-19 pandemic. For his involvement, the Provincial Government of Bali appreciates the steps taken by Udayana University, especially the Faculty of Medicine for its contribution to society. Dewa Made Indra added that the synergy that has been established between the local government, TNI, Polri, universities, and all elements of society must continue to be expanded, one of which is through the involvement of students who were released today as Behavior Change Ambassadors, Health Protocol Ambassadors, and Tracing Teams.

This activity was also attended by the Gojek Bali Nusra District Head who supports this program by donating masks and hand sanitizers for students who will go down to the community.

The number of students from the Faculty of Medicine of Unud who joined the Tracing Team was 36 people, Prokes Ambassadors 99 people and Behavior Change ambassadors 88 people.

The event closed with the symbolic release of student representatives from Health Protocol Ambassadors, Behavior Change Ambassadors and the Tracing Team by Kasdam IX/Udayana, Bali Police Chief and Daily Chair of the Covid-19 Task Force.
