Supporting Tourist Safety, FK Unud Provides Emergency First Aid Education to Tourist Fishermen in Sanur


Water sports tourism in Sanur Bali is still a favorite destination for tourists. Many tourists use the services of Tourist Fishermen in Sanur for water sports tourism activities. However, from the results of observations and surveys, most tourist fishermen in Sanur still do not understand and are not skilled in providing first aid for emergencies for victims of accidents at sea.


In order to provide education on first aid for emergencies, the Travel Medicine Unit of the Faculty of Medicine (FK Unud) carried out the Udayana Mengabdi Program with the theme "First Aid Training for Accidents at Sea for Sanur Tourist Fishermen" which was held on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at the Agung Inn Meeting Room & Sue Watering Hole Sanur, Denpasar.


Participants in this event were tourist fishermen from two groups of tourist fishermen on Sanur beach, namely the Mina Sari Asih and Mina Bangsal fishing groups. The event was opened with remarks from the Coordinator of the Travel Medicine Unit of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Dr. dr. Made Agus Hendrayana, M.Ked and continued with material from the speakers, namely:

1. Govinda Fittala, S.Ft, Ftr., M.Fis

2. Ns.I Kadek Saputra, S.Kep., M.Erg


On this occasion, the team from the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University also handed over assistance in the form of one Emergency Case and tools and materials for first aid in accidents to the group of tourist fishermen in Sanur.
