The Cancer Care Student Community of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Holds a Seminar "More Than a Cough: The Truth About Lung Cancer"


As a concrete contribution to health education and innovation, the Funding and Business Division of the Cancer Care Student Community (KOMPAK) of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, initiated the INSPIRE 2025 (Innovation, Showcase, Promotion, and Impactful Response Event) program, previously known as the Cancer Day Creative Competition (CDCC). This program has now been integrated into a broader and more impactful platform, combining educational competitions (the INSPIRE Creative Competition), which was held online on July 19, 2025, and a national-scale seminar (the Inspire 2025 National Seminar), which was held in a hybrid format on August 2, 2025, in the Dr. AA Made Djelantik Room, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Sudirman Building, Denpasar.


The Inspire 2025 national seminar was opened by the Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Information of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. I Md. Ady Wirawan, MPH., Ph.D., in his remarks expressed his appreciation to the semi-autonomous Cancer Awareness Student Community for organizing the national seminar themed "More Than a Cough: The Truth About Lung Cancer." He stated that this national seminar was crucial to raise awareness of the importance of preventing lung cancer.


The national seminar was attended by high school (SMA), vocational high school (SMK) students, and the general public. Moderated by I Komang Chandra Yogananda, the event featured two speakers:

1. Dr. Ida Ayu Jasminarti Dwi Kusumawardani, Sp.P(K)Onk

2. Dr. Ni Wayan Candrawati, Sp.P(K).

Following the presentations by the two speakers, the event continued with a discussion session.
