The Clinical Nutrition Specialist Study Program at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Achieves Achievements in National Scientific Events

The Clinical Nutrition Specialist Study Program at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, once again achieved outstanding success at a prestigious national scientific event, the 10th Joint Annual Meeting on Clinical Nutrition (JAMCN) and the 2025 PDGKI Annual Scientific Meeting (PIT). This event served as a strategic forum bringing together academics and clinical nutrition practitioners from across Indonesia, held at the Pullman Central Park Hotel, Jakarta. (August 2, 2025)


In the Research category, Dr. M. Candra Wijanadi won third place out of 20 participants in the scientific poster competition, with his research entitled "Curcumin and Glycemic Control in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis." This research was supervised by: Prof. Dr. dr. I Wayan Weta, MS., Sp.GK., Subsp.KM, and dr. Agustinus I Wayan Harimawan, MPH., Sp.GK., Subsp.PK. In addition, Dr. I Dewa Gde Wira Saskara also won 5th place for his research entitled "The Relationship between Albumin Levels and Patient Mortality in the Intensive Cardiovascular Care Unit (ICVCU): A Retrospective Cohort Study." This research was supervised by: Dr. I Wayan Gede Sutadarma, M.Gizi., Sp.GK., Subsp.KM and Dr. Agustinus I Wayan Harimawan, MPH., Sp.GK., Subsp.PK.


In the Case Report category, out of 29 participants, Dr. Cuay Yusnianingsih won 4th place with her case report entitled "Nutritional Medical Therapy for Guillain-Barré Syndrome, Melena, Erosive Gastritis, Anemia, and Hyperglycemia with Severe Malnutrition." This work was supervised by: Dr. Ni Ketut Sumartini, M.Kes., Sp.GK., Subsp.PK, and Dr. Agustinus I Wayan Harimawan, MPH., Sp.GK., Subsp.PK.


This impressive achievement reflects the academic quality, dedication, and competence of the Clinical Nutrition students at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, in developing knowledge in the field of clinical nutrition and making a real contribution to improving the quality of healthcare services in Indonesia.
