The Dentistry Student Association of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Provides Free Dental Health Services in Banjar Sumuh, Dauh Puri Kauh Village, South Denpasar

The Dentistry Student Association (HMKG) of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, held the Dental Health Promotion and Prevention (DENTIN) 2025 event, which is one of the Community Services work programs within the HMKG's 2025 Sarkara Cabinet. The DENTIN event was implemented as a concrete manifestation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, particularly in the area of community service. This year, DENTIN took place at the Banjar Sumuh Hall in Dauh Puri Kauh Village, West Denpasar District, on Sunday, July 13, 2025, with the theme "Beautiful Smiles, Healthy Teeth, Improved Quality of Life."

DENTIN 2025 lasted one day and consisted of several activities, including free dental health services in the form of dental examinations and simple tooth extractions. In addition, other supporting activities included outreach, strategic studies, open donations, and community service by volunteer dentists.

This year's DENTIN activity was chaired by Lucia Selly Aryanti (a student in the Undergraduate Dentistry and Dentistry Profession Program, Class of 2023) and attended by 77 participants from the general public around Balai Banjar Sumuh, as well as 28 dental professional education students (Co-Ass) who assisted with the dental and oral health checks. In addition, the event was also attended by the Coordinator of the Undergraduate Dentistry and Dentistry Profession Program, represented by the Head of the Department of Dentistry and Oral Health, Drg. Mia Ayustina Prasetya, Sp.KGA; the Advisor of the Dentistry Association (HMKG), Drg. Desak Nyoman Ari Susanti, M.Kes.; several lecturers from the Undergraduate Dentistry and Dentistry Profession Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University; the Village Head of Dauh Puri Kauh, Drs. I Gusti Made Suandhi; the Chair of the Student Executive Board (BEM) of Udayana University, Mr. Juanda Santoso; and the Chair of the HMKG of Udayana University, Class of 2025, Mr. I Nyoman Surya Rama Aditya.

Through this activity, it is hoped that it can bring a positive influence and help the community in achieving a beautiful smile and optimal dental health so that it can improve the quality of life of the community itself.
