The Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Receives a Visit from Travel Medicine Elective Students from the Faculty of Medicine, Airlangga University.

The Travel Medicine Unit of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University (FK Unud) welcomed 19 (nineteen) students from the Faculty of Medicine, Airlangga University (UNAIR). The meeting took place in the Prof. Dr. I Goesti Ngoerah Gde Ngoerah meeting room, FK Unud Building, Denpasar, on November 24, 2025.

The purpose of participating in this elective travel medicine module is to gain hands-on experience with travel medicine. One of the activities includes field trips to several travel medicine facilities in Bali to gain a deeper and firsthand understanding of travel medicine in Bali. Over the two weeks, students will receive materials and visit the Penta Medica Clinic, Udayana University Hospital, and the Ngurah Rai Airport Port Health Office. Students will also participate in yoga classes, wellness trips, adventure tourism in Tegalalang, and water sports activities in Tanjung Benoa, Nusa Dua.

During this visit, the FK UNAIR students were welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. dr. I Gede Eka Wiratnaya, Sp.OT., Subsp.Onk.Ort.R(K). In his remarks, he welcomed them to Bali, specifically to the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University. For the next two weeks, they will explore issues related to travel medicine in Bali. He hopes that travel medicine has great potential for future development, especially in rapidly developing tourism areas, which are accessible to almost all regions in Indonesia. The Dean of FK Unud also conveyed that if there are any shortcomings in the learning activities here, they should immediately report them so that we can make improvements and provide better outcomes in the future.

Following the opening ceremony, the event continued with a presentation by Dr. Made Januarbawa, M.M. The event was also attended by Dr. dr. Made Agus Hendrayana, S.Ked., M.Ked., Coordinator of the Travel Medicine Unit of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University; and Coordinator of the Undergraduate Medical Program, Dr. I Wayan Sumardika, S.Ked., M.Med.Ed., Ph.D., and Ni Kadek Fitria Parahita, Chair of the General Medicine Student Association (HMKU), Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University.
