Division of Cardiac Vascular and Endovascular Thoracic Surgery, Department/KSM of Surgery FK Unud/ Prof.Dr.I.G.N.G Ngoerah Hospital held a Webinar, Workshop and Paper Competition BALI VASCULAR SURGERY COMMUNITY UPDATE MEETING V (VACUM V) in 2022 with the theme “Advance in Aortic and Peripheral Vascular Surgery” in a hybrid way.

This event is a scientific forum with a series of activities in the form of a Webinar Workshop and Paper Competition which will be held on 25-26 November 2022 via Zoom Meeting.

VACUM V this time was held with the aim of fulfilling the quantity and quality of vascular services, for guidance to related specialists and residents, students and activists in the field of vascular services in the community, as well as the challenges mentioned above, so that the quality and coverage of health services to the community, especially in the field of vascular surgery can be improved.

This webinar event began with remarks from the Chairperson of the Vacuum V Committee, Dr. I Wayan Sudarma, Sp.BTKV. Subsp. T(K) who said that the webinar this time was a forum for national scientific meetings which were held routinely every year where in this meeting there was not only discussion based on guidelines but also based on evidence based medicine and research in the health sciences.

Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs and Planning Dr. dr. I Gede Eka Wiratnaya, Sp.OT(K) who wished to attend and at the same time opened the event in his remarks stressed that the establishment of a new study program BTKV FK Unud and the existence of a scientific forum containing Webinars, Workshops and Paper Competitions would be carried out to achieve the Tri Dharma of Higher Education.

This activity received a very good reception, as seen from the number of participants who reached 260 webinar participants, 42 workshop participants and 20 paper competition participants
