The Otolaryngology, Nose, Throat, Head, and Neck Surgery Specialist Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, won a proud achievement in the Educational Video Competition on the theme of Congenital Deafness and Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma at the 59th Anniversary of the Indonesian Association of Otolaryngology, Nose, Throat, Head, and Neck Surgeons (Perhati-KL) on October 29, 2025, at the 2025 Perhati-KL National Conference in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).
The Otolaryngology, Nose, Throat, Head, and Neck Surgery Specialist Program won two first-place prizes in the Educational Video Competition:
1. Dr. Ni Putu Omasih Kiantimi presented a video on Congenital Deafness, emphasizing the importance of early detection and audiological intervention for optimal development in children with congenital hearing loss.
2. Dr. Made Dalika Nareswari presents a video about Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma, reminding us that sometimes lives change by one small choice: saying "no." The video highlights the global incidence of 129,000 cases per year, the highest risk in Southeast Asia and Southern China, and the key risk factors of EBV, smoking, and salty foods. The key message: small, everyday steps can make a big difference in health.
Both videos combine accurate medical information and engaging visual narratives, making them not only informative but also touching and inspiring. This work confirms that the ENT-BKL residents of Udayana University/Prof. Dr. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah General Hospital are capable of producing high-quality, impactful medical education.
