The Psychiatry Specialist Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Holds Guest Lectures to Enhance Student Competence in Medical Psychotherapy, Psychogeriatrics, and Clinical Governance

The Psychiatry Specialist Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, has successfully held a series of hybrid guest lectures featuring domestic and international psychiatric experts. These activities aimed to broaden students' horizons, improve their competencies, and strengthen academic networks in the fields of medical psychotherapy, psychogeriatrics, and clinical governance. The main focus of the guest lectures was the meeting room of Dr. I Gusti Putu Panteri, Sp.K.J(K) at Prof. dr. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah General Hospital.

The guest lectures were held over two days. The first day, September 7, 2025, featured Dr. Petrin Redayani Lukman, dr., Sp.K.J., Subsp.P.K.(K), M.Pd.Ked., and the second day, September 11, 2025, featured two speakers: Prof. Dr. The event was attended by Dr. Martina Wiwie Setiawan Nasrun, dr., Sp.K.J., Subsp.Ger.(K) from the University of Indonesia, and Prof. Raju Lakshmana, MBBS, MD (Psych), FRANZCP, AFRACMA, as Visiting Professor of Psychiatry at Udayana University from the University of Melbourne.

The event began with a report from the Chair of the Committee, Dr. dr. Ida Aju Kusuma Wardani, Sp.K.J., Subsp.K.L.(K), MARS, and remarks from the Coordinator of the Psychiatry Specialist Study Program, Dr. dr. Luh Nyoman Alit Aryani, Sp.K.J., Subsp.Ad.(K). It was officially opened by the Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Information, Prof. dr. I Md. Ady Wirawan, MPH., Ph.D. In his report, Dr. Kusuma Wardani conveyed that this event provided a space for scientific discussion that could enrich the learning experience. Meanwhile, Dr. Nyoman Alit emphasized that this guest lecture was held to strengthen academic networks to foster superior, independent, and cultured specialist psychiatry education. Meanwhile, Prof. Ady emphasized the importance of cross-institutional academic collaboration in implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education.
