The Public Health Student Association of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Successfully Holds 5K Charity Fun Run for Humanitarian Purposes

The Public Health Student Association (HMKM) of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, held a 5K Charity Fun Run as part of the 2026 Grand Creativity Event (AKA). The event, held at the Agrocomplex Building, Denpasar Campus, Udayana University, on Saturday, April 11, 2026, was particularly special as it was the first fun run held and also celebrated the 25th anniversary of the Public Health Undergraduate Program (PSSKM) at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University.

The event began with a report from the Committee Chair, who stated that the event not only aimed to raise awareness of physical health through running but also served as a fundraising platform. All proceeds from participant registration fees would be donated to support social action programs and assistance for communities in need.

Next, the official flag-off ceremony was held by the Vice Dean for Academic and Planning of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. I Made Ady Wirawan, MPH., Ph.D. In his remarks, he expressed his highest appreciation for the Public Health Student Association's initiative in combining a healthy lifestyle with social solidarity, especially during the PSSKM's silver anniversary. He emphasized that the spirit of caring must continue to be fostered as part of preventive and promotive efforts in the health sector.

Following the send-off, the event continued with a group run around the route determined by the committee. Upon reaching the finish line, participants were greeted with various entertainment and a door prize draw. The event concluded with a symbolic handover of donations to the beneficiaries as a demonstration of transparency and accountability in this charity event.

The event was attended by the Coordinator of the Undergraduate Public Health Study Program, Dr. dr. I Ketut Suarjana, S.Ked., M.P.H., representatives of the Denpasar City Education and Culture Office, lecturers, students, alumni and the general public who enthusiastically supported the humanitarian action and celebrated the anniversary of PSSKM this year.
