The Thoracic, Cardiac, and Vascular Surgery Specialist Program at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Provides Education and Screening for Coronary Heart Disease, Lung Cancer, and Peripheral Artery Disease in Penarukan, Buleleng

The Thoracic, Cardiac, and Vascular Surgery Specialist Program (BTKV) at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, conducted a Community Service activity in Penarukan Village, Buleleng District, Buleleng Regency. (11/15/2025)

This activity demonstrates our commitment to supporting the improvement of public health through education and screening for Coronary Heart Disease, Lung Cancer, and Peripheral Artery Disease, through collaboration between faculty, residents, and active community participation. The BTKV Specialist Program at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, will continue to contribute to the community on an ongoing basis as part of the Tridharma of Higher Education.

The community service event was opened by the Coordinator of the Thoracic, Cardiac, and Vascular Surgery Specialist Program, Dr. dr. Ketut Putu Yasa, Sp.B, Sp.BTKV, Subsp.VE(K), FICS, FIATCVS., in his remarks, stated that this community service activity was able to provide tangible benefits and raise public awareness of the importance of prevention and early treatment of Coronary Heart Disease, Lung Cancer, and Peripheral Artery Disease.

The delegation from the Thoracic, Cardiac, and Vascular Surgery (BTKV) Specialist Study Program was received by the Head of Penarukan Village, who in his remarks expressed his gratitude for choosing their village as the location for their community service activity and expressed the importance of the services provided to the community in Penarukan Village, Buleleng District, Buleleng Regency.

The activity was also attended by all lecturers and residents of the Thoracic, Cardiac, and Vascular Surgery (BTKV) Specialist Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University.
