Tista Village, Abang, Karangasem: Unud Medical Faculty Provides "Amazing" Health and Education Services
The Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University through the Community Service Research Unit (UPPM) organizes community service in Tista Village, Abang, Karangasem. (19/11/2022)
The event began with an opening at the Tista Village Head's Office by the Secretary of the Abang District Head, Putu Agus Teja Pramascita, S.STP., MAP., and remarks from the Deputy Dean for Academic and Planning Affairs, Dr. dr. I Gede Eka Wiratnaya.Sp.OT(K). After the opening, the event continued with health services for the village community.
On this occasion, Agus Teja expressed his gratitude for choosing Tista Village as a place of Community Service.
"Our hope is that in the future the community service activities will not end here. It is hoped that next year there will be additional health services as well as higher education Tridharma activities. We hope that health services can be of benefit to Tista Village." he said.
Dr. Eka also expressed his gratitude for being part of the Faculty of Medicine for carrying out the Tridharma of higher education, namely research and community service.
"Today we go directly to the community to see and help the community by providing assistance in the form of health services and groceries. The Faculty of Medicine will provide the best for Tista Village according to the scientific fields we have." he said.
In a separate place, namely at Balai Banjar Batu Madeg, counseling about stunting was also held by Lecturers from the Department of Public Health and Preventive Medicine (KMKP). After counseling, the team from the Faculty of Medicine of Udayana University then continued with health services for stunted children and providing additional nutrition/food for stunted children.
On this occasion, the Faculty of Medicine of Udayana University distributed as many as 300 packages of groceries and 60 packs of additional food/nutrition for children with stunting symptoms.

I Kadek Saputra, S.Kep., M.Erg, lecturers and education staff, as well as TBM Janar Duta Student at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University
