Travel Medicine Unit of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University received the Visit of Elective Study Travel Medicine Students from the Faculty of Medicine, Airlangga University


The Travel Medicine Unit of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University (FK Unud) welcomed 20 elective study travel medicine students from the Faculty of Medicine, Airlangga University (FK Unair) which took place in the Accreditation Room Lt.3, FK Unud Building Denpasar. (26/11/2024)


The purpose of the field visit of FK Unair students to travel medicine vehicles in Bali is to get to know more directly about tourism health in Bali. For five days students who carry out elective study travel medicine at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University Hospital, Penta Medica Clinic, Ngurah Rai Airport Port Health Office, Tourism Village, Wellness Journey at Carangsari Tourism Village, and Tanjung Benoa Water Sport.


During this visit, FK Unair students were welcomed directly by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Planning of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University Dr. dr. I Gede Eka Wiratnaya, Sp. OT (K) who in his speech said that all medical faculties in Bali also use and develop travel medicine for the advancement of institutions and Bali because tourism is a big industry in Bali.


"It is an honor for the Faculty of Medicine of Udayana University for the trust given to add experience related to travel medicine. Bali is a tourism area, therefore all medical faculties in Bali also use and develop travel medicine for the advancement of institutions and Bali. It is hoped that this activity can add experience related to the management of travel medicine management so that it has an interest in entering the field of travel medicine." Dr. Eka said


After the opening, the event continued with the presentation of material by the resource person, Dr. Made Januarbawa, MM from First Media English with moderator Dr. dr. Made Agus Hendrayana, S.Ked., M.Ked., as the Coordinator of the Travel Medicine Unit of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University. The event was also attended by the Coordinator of the Undergraduate Medical Study Program dr. I Wayan Sumardika, S.Ked., M.Med.Ed., Ph.D., and Sara Putri Bungaran who is a representative of the Chairperson of the General Medical Student Association (HMKU) Faculty of Medicine Udayana University.
