Udayana University Faculty of Medicine International Symposium on Burn and Plastic Surgery
The Reconstructive and Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Specialist Study Program, FK Unud together with the Asia Pacific Burn Association (APBA), Indonesian Society Of Plastic Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgeon (INAPRAS/PERAPI), and Indonesian Burn & Wound Healing Society (Ina-BWS) held the Faculty of Medicine Udayana University International Symposium on Burn and Plastic Surgery with the theme "Strengthening the Role of Plastic Surgery in Health Care Service" in a hybrid manner with the main location point in the dr. A A. Made Djelantik, FK Building, Denpasar. (29/10/2022)
This event presented a total of 15 speakers from Indonesia, Malaysia, Japan, Taiwan, Turkey and Australia who discussed topics related to plastic surgery. This international symposium was held with the aim of increasing the understanding of the role of clinicians in particular in cases of burns and in the field of plastic surgery.
The event began with remarks by the Chairman of the Committee, Dr. dr. I Nyoman Putu Riasa, SpBP-RE(K), Head of PERAPI dr. Najatullah, SpBP-RE(K), MARS, Director of Human Resources, Education and Research Prof. RSUP. Dr. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah, drg. Tri Fajari Agustini, Sp.KGA, MARS and remarks and opening remarks by the Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs and Planning of FK Unud, Dr. dr. I Gede Eka Wiratnaya, Sp.OT(K) which is marked by beating the gong.
In his speech Dr. Eka expressed his hope that this International Symposium event would be useful to help improve knowledge, curriculum and teaching systems at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, especially in the Reconstructive and Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Specialist Study Program.
Participants in this event came from among lecturers, students (students/residents), and general practitioners, totaling 349 participants. In addition, this activity also held an Oral Presentation and E-Poster competition which was responded very enthusiastically by 27 participants. This scientific activity is also held in a hybrid manner so as to provide opportunities for participants who cannot attend directly at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University.
