Udayana University Faculty of Medicine Students Receive Invitation from the Deputy Minister of the Indonesian Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology to Participate in the International Collaboration Program between Indonesia and the United Arab Emirates

David Christopher Tjandra, a 2024 student in the Medical Profession Study Program at the Udayana University Faculty of Medicine, is one of the students selected and directly invited by the Indonesian Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology to participate in the academic collaboration program between the Republic of Indonesia and the United Arab Emirates (The Future+ Program).

This academic program will be held from November 2–8, 2025, at United Arab Emirates University, under the direct assignment of the Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, and based on an official invitation from the Government of the United Arab Emirates.

This program is designed for 18 outstanding students from across Indonesia, carefully selected by the ministry. They will then be tasked with conducting comparative studies and conducting scientific research during their visit to UAEU (UAEU). The series of activities includes academic visits to each UAEU campus, learning about UAE research and scientific learning, visiting and studying in UAEU's integrated laboratories, and presenting their scientific projects to UAEU lecturers.

In this activity, David's group won first place in the flip chart creation competition for their scientific paper project. This project was a collaboration between David, a student at Udayana University, Gadjah Mada University, Malang State University, Sebelas Maret University, Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology, and students from United Arab Emirates University.

David's visit to the United Arab Emirates is expected to contribute ideas, knowledge, and inspiration to academic progress at UAEU, as well as to receive and share the knowledge gained in the UAE with Indonesia. This activity is expected to serve as a powerful platform to promote the reputation of Indonesia, Udayana University, and the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, on the international stage.
