Udayana University's Faculty of Medicine Graduates 184 Prospective Graduates, First to Graduate Subspecialists for the July 2026 Term
The Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University (FK Unud) proudly graduated 184 prospective graduates. The graduation ceremony was held at the Widya Sabha Building, Bukit Campus, Jimbaran. (July 2, 2026)
The graduation ceremony for the July 2026 FK Unud graduates was attended by the Director of Human Resources, Education, and Research at Prof. Dr. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah General Hospital, Denpasar; the Director of Unud Hospital; the Director of Unud General Hospital; the Chair of the FK Unud Senate; a representative from the Bali Provincial PPNI (National Institute of Indonesian National Students) Regional Leadership Council (DPW PPNI), the Chair of the Faculty of Medicine Commissariat (Ikayana), the Vice Deans of FK Unud, the Study Program Coordinators, the KP3 Unit Coordinators, and all prospective graduates.
The event began with a graduation report from the Vice Dean for Academic and Planning of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. I Made Ady Wirawan, MPH., Ph.D., who announced the number of prospective graduates from each study program and the top graduates from each level of education.
For the July 2026 term, the top graduates were:
1. Dr. dr. Anom Suardika, Sp.OG, Subsp.F.E.R., from the Doctoral Program in Biomedical Sciences
2. Dr. Ni Putu Mirah Ayunda Kartika Wulandari, S.Ked., M.Biomed (AAM) from the Master of Biomedical Sciences Program
3. Dr. Maria Pamela Tiffani, Sp.Neuro., from the Neurology Specialist Program
4. Ns. Pande Komang Sudiantika, S.Kep., from the Nursing Professional Education Study Program
5. Ni Made Aristya Cahya Pratiwi, S.KM., from the Bachelor of Public Health Study Program
The next event was the handover of graduates from the Study Program Coordinators to the Dean, followed by the recitation and signing of the Junior Doctor, Junior Dentist, and Bachelor of Nursing oaths. The event continued with the symbolic presentation of Junior Doctor, Junior Dentist coats, and name tags. Following the presentation of the coats and name tags, the event continued with the recitation and signing of the Nursing Oath by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. dr. I Gede Eka Wiratnaya, Sp.OT., Subsp.Onk.Ort.R(K)., who was accompanied by representatives from the Regional Executive Board of the Indonesian National Nurses Association (DPW PPNI) of Bali Province. The event continued with the inauguration of the Nursing Oath by the clergy. The graduation ceremony continued with the inauguration of the Specialist Doctors, Subspecialists, and Nurses by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. dr. I Gede Eka Wiratnaya, Sp.OT., Subsp.Onk.Ort.R(K).
Following the inauguration, the event continued with the presentation of certificates to the top graduates, the inauguration of the graduates, and remarks from the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, and the Director of Human Resources, Education, and Research at Prof. Dr. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah Denpasar General Hospital, Ken Wirianti, SE, MRM.
On this occasion, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, congratulated the graduates and their parents and reminded them that the main challenge going forward is no longer simply the number of graduates, but rather the equitable distribution of health services, particularly in eastern Indonesia. New graduates were also urged not to become complacent in their comfort zones and to continue applying the principles of lifelong learning. In addition to mastering knowledge and practical skills, the affective aspect, or professional ethics, is a key focus that must be maintained, especially in the current digital era, where ethical violations on social media are considered very difficult to prevent and have the potential to immediately trigger widespread negative assessments.
Furthermore, Prof. Eka emphasized that the true test for these doctors and healthcare workers is when they enter the community. Unlike in the classroom, where the public will only provide simple assessments of good or bad service. Therefore, graduates are expected to maintain communication with their study programs to provide input for future curriculum improvements.
The event concluded with an expression of appreciation and gratitude to Prof. Ngoerah General Hospital as the main teaching hospital, its network of hospitals, and the Health Office for facilitating the smooth running of the educational process.
The event then concluded with impressions and messages from representatives of prospective graduates for the July 2026 intake.
