Udayana University's Faculty of Medicine Prepares for the Opening of International Classes in 2026

The Faculty of Medicine of Udayana University held a coordination meeting to prepare for the establishment of international classes on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, in the Dean's Meeting Room, Faculty of Medicine Building, Sudirman Campus, Denpasar. (5/11/2025)

In line with Udayana University's internationalization vision and mission, the Undergraduate Medical and Physician Profession Study Programs of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, will open international classes for the 2026/2027 academic year. The preparatory meeting, led by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. dr. I Gede Eka Wiratnaya, Sp.OT(K), led the task force team for the establishment of international classes. He provided guidance to the task force regarding various matters necessary for the implementation of international classes, including facilities and infrastructure, curriculum, learning implementation, including international exposure, and human resources.

Coordinator of the Undergraduate Medical Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Dr. Wayan Sumardika. MMed.Ed, Ph.D., and his team discussed the infrastructure needs and learning process plans for international class students, both Indonesian and foreign. Through the implementation of international classes, the Faculty of Medicine is expected to produce graduates who are able to compete globally.

The coordination meeting was also attended by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Planning of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. I Md. Ady Wirawan, MPH., Ph.D.; the Vice Dean for General Affairs and Finance of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Dr. dr. I Made Muliarta, M.Kes.; the Coordinator of the Learning Development and Quality Assurance Unit (UP3M); Dr. I Made Winarsa Ruma, Ph.D.; the Coordinator of the Information Management and Cooperation Unit (UPIKS); Dr. dr. Ida Ayu Ika Wahyuniari, S.Ked., M.Kes.; and the Task Force Team for the Establishment of International Classes for the Undergraduate Medical and Physician Profession Programs at Udayana University.
