Udayana University's Faculty of Medicine Receives Visit from Nagasaki Institute of Applied Science and Forest Holdings, Inc., Japan
The Faculty of Medicine of Udayana University received a visit from the Nagasaki Institute of Applied Science and Forest Holdings, Inc., Japan. The meeting took place in the Dean's Meeting Room on the third floor of the Faculty of Medicine Building, Udayana University, Denpasar Campus. (February 5, 2026)
The purpose of the visit was to discuss research development, human resource exchange programs, medical personnel development, and improving the quality of healthcare services through collaboration between the medical and engineering fields.
The meeting began with a presentation by Kazuto Doi from the Nagasaki Institute of Applied Science on ventilator filters, offering research collaborations, and discussing sending students or alumni of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, as researchers (observers) to Japan for one month between August and October 2026. The presentations continued with a discussion session that resulted in several agreements for future collaboration plans, including student exchanges, guest lectures in clinical engineering, and other research collaborations.
This event was also attended by Mr. Tsubasa Hishinuma from Nagasaki Institute of Applied Science, Mr. Kenji Misyohi and Mr. Toshihiro Nakamura from Forest Holdings, Inc., while from Udayana University it was also attended by the Director of Udayana University Hospital, Prof. Dr. dr. Anak Agung Wiradewi Lestari, S.Ked, Sp.PK(K), Vice Dean for General Affairs and Finance of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. dr. I Made Muliarta, M.Kes., Coordinator of the Information Management and Cooperation Unit (UPIKS) of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Dr. dr. Ida Ayu Ika Wahyuniari, S.Ked., M.Kes, Coordinator of the Undergraduate Medical Study Program, dr. I Made Winarsa Ruma, S.Ked., Ph.D., Coordinator of the Research and Community Service Unit (UP2M) of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Dr. Agus Eka Darwinata, S.Ked., Ph.D, and Coordinator of the Nursing Professional Education Study Program of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Dr. Kadek Eka Swedarma, S.Kep., NS., M.Kes.
