Udayana University's Faculty of Medicine's Psychiatry Specialist Study Program Proudly Achieves at the 2025 PIN PERKESWARI Bandung

The Psychiatry Specialist Study Program at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, once again achieved a brilliant achievement at the 2025 National Scientific Meeting (PIN) Perkeswari, organized by the Indonesian Child and Adolescent Mental Health Association (Perkeswari). (10/18/2025)

This prestigious event took place on October 16–18, 2025, at the Holiday Inn Pasteur Hotel, Bandung, with the theme: "Navigating Children and Adolescents With Neurodiversity and Giftedness in This Rapidly Changing World." The event provided a platform for psychiatrists, academics, and researchers in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry to share knowledge and the latest research findings on the mental health of young people amidst rapid social and technological change.

In the scientific forum, the Psychiatry Specialist Study Program of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, won two main awards, namely the first for Best Oral Presentation with the title Utilization of Digital Media in Collaboration between Teachers and Parents to Stimulate Children with Special Needs: Qualitative Study, which is the work of researcher: dr. Rini Trisnowati, under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Cokorda Bagus Jaya Lesmana, dr., Sp.K.J., Subsp. K(K)., MARS. This study highlights the potential of digital media as an effective means to strengthen the synergy between teachers and parents in stimulating the development of children with special needs, in line with the transformation of learning in the digital era. The second award was for Best Poster Presentation with the title Understanding the Correlation of Parenting Patterns and Trauma to Behavioral Disorders in Children and Adolescents: Case Report, which is the work of author: dr. Ayu Indra Rumpa, under the guidance of dr. I Gusti Ayu Indah Ardani, Sp.K.J., Subsp. A.R.(K). This study examines in-depth the relationship between parenting styles, trauma experiences, and the emergence of behavioral disorders in children and adolescents, using a clinical approach that emphasizes the importance of early detection and family-based interventions.

Dr. I Gusti Ayu Indah Ardani, Sp.K.J., Subsp. A.R.(K) from the Psychiatry Specialist Study Program at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, expressed her appreciation for this achievement:

"This achievement reflects the dedication and enthusiasm for learning of the Psychiatry residents of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, in developing knowledge that benefits society. We hope this achievement can inspire them to continue conducting innovative research, particularly in the field of child and adolescent mental health, which currently faces extraordinary challenges in the digital era," said Dr. Indah Ardani.

She also emphasized that collaboration between educators, residents, and institutions is crucial in building an academic ecosystem that supports the advancement of Indonesian psychiatry.

The Indonesian Child and Adolescent Mental Health Association (Perkeswari) is a professional organization representing child and adolescent psychiatrists in Indonesia.
