Undergraduate Medical Students from Udayana University’s Faculty of Medicine Win 3rd Place Nationally at SIMFONI II Surabaya

A team of undergraduate medical students from the Faculty of Medicine at Udayana University achieved a proud national-level accomplishment at the Surabaya Internal Medicine Fun Olympiad and Intelligent Quiz (SIMFONI II). This competition was organized by the Indonesian Society of Internal Medicine (PAPDI) Surabaya as part of the Continuing Medical Education (CME) XLI Internal Medicine 2026 series, held on August 8 and 15, 2026, in Surabaya.

This impressive achievement was secured by a student delegation consisting of:

2. I Putu Pradnya

This outstanding success was also made possible by the role of their mentor, Dr. dr. Cokorda Agung Wahyu Purnamasidhi, M.Biomed, Sp.PD, FINASIM, FISQua, who consistently provided guidance, direction, and motivation to the team throughout the preparation and competition phases.

This success serves as tangible proof of the dedication, hard work, and competitive spirit of these medical students in deepening their clinical knowledge and critical thinking skills in the field of internal medicine. Furthermore, this achievement reflects the high quality of education and academic mentorship within Udayana University’s Faculty of Medicine.

It is hoped that this achievement will inspire other students to continue excelling and bringing honor to the institution at both national and international levels.
