Vision, Mission, Strategic Plan, and Academic Guidelines Workshop for the Pulmonology and Respiratory Medicine Specialist Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University

The Pulmonology and Respiratory Medicine Specialist Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, held a Vision, Mission, Strategic Plan, and Academic Guidelines Workshop, both offline and online, with the main venue being the KSM Pulmonary Meeting Room of Prof. Dr. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah General Hospital, Denpasar (April 22, 2026).

This event aimed to review, align, and strengthen the study program's vision, mission, and strategic plan to align with scientific and technological developments in the field of pulmonology and current community needs. Furthermore, the workshop also aimed to refine the academic guidelines as a foundation for implementing adaptive, high-quality education that is oriented toward graduate competency outcomes.

The workshop began with remarks by the Director of Prof. Dr. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah General Hospital, followed by remarks and opening remarks by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University. In his remarks, he expressed his deep appreciation to the Pulmonology and Respiratory Medicine Specialist Study Program for its consistent regular workshops as a forum for strategic discussions. This activity is considered crucial in encouraging the sustainable development of the study program through the involvement of various stakeholders.

The workshop was also attended by the Pulmonology and Respiratory Medicine Chapter of the Internal Medicine College, the Chair of the Indonesian Institute of Sciences (PDPI) Bali Branch, the Head of the SDK Division of the Bali Provincial Health Office, representatives of hospitals using graduates, alumni, the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Planning, the Vice Dean for General Affairs and Finance, the Coordinator of the Learning Development and Quality Assurance Unit (UP3M), the Study Program Coordinators, and the teaching staff of the Pulmonology and Respiratory Medicine Specialist Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University.

Following the opening remarks, the event continued with a presentation of the Vision and Mission by the Coordinator of the Pulmonology and Respiratory Medicine Specialist Study Program, Dr. Ni Wayan Candrawati, Sp.P(K), and a second presentation on Academic Guidelines by Dr. Putu Gita Indraswari, Sp.P. The final presentation on the Strategic Plan was by Dr. Made Agustya Darma Putra Wesnawa, Sp.P.

Following the presentations by the two speakers, the event continued with a question-and-answer session and received input from alumni and graduate users on future improvements to the Vision, Mission, Academic Guidelines, and Strategic Plan of the Pulmonology and Respiratory Medicine Specialist Study Program at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University.
