Webinar Addressing Fake Herbal Products

Saturday, July 10, 2021

Many people still believe that herbs are safe, but that's not always true. Currently, the reality is that there are many fake herbal products that are mixed with chemical drugs. An example is the proliferation of fake herbal products for health, especially for sexual problems. The results of clinical trials found that many herbal products for erectile dysfunction drugs were mixed with medicinal chemicals. In fact, there are quite a lot of doctors or medical personnel who do not know that these herbal products are actually mixed.

For this reason, the Department of Andrology and Sexology, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University (FK UNUD) in collaboration with the Indonesian Center for Anti-Aging Medicine (INCAAM) held a Webinar "Dealing with False Herbal Products" which was held today, on July 10, 2021, at 09.00 -11.30 WIB with speakers:

This webinar was opened with remarks from the Head of IDI Bali Region, dr. Gede Putra Sutedja and continued with the opening by the Dean of FK UNUD, Prof. Dr. dr. I Ketut Suyasa, Sp.B, Sp.OT(K). Specifically in his speech, the Dean advised to continue to be passionate about educating and providing correct health information for colleagues engaged in health and the general public, and advised to always maintain health and togetherness in the face of the Enforcement of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM).
