Workshop "Strengthening Smoking Cessation Services in Badung Regency"

In order to support the strengthening of the smoking hazard control program on health and the Stop Smoking Clinic services in health services, the Dean of Medical Faculty Unud Prof.Dr.dr. I Ketut Suyasa, SpB.,SpOT(K) attended and gave a speech at the workshop "Strengthening Smoking Stop Services in Badung Regency" which was held at the Ramada Hotel, Kuta-Badung.
This workshop was held in collaboration with the Badung District Health Office and the Udayana Center for Research and Development Center of Udayana University.
In his speech, Prof.Dr.dr. I Ketut Suyasa, SpB., SpOT(K) said “I really appreciate this activity as an effort to provide smoking cessation services.
I hope that today's workshop can provide enlightenment, how our joint efforts will be in the future by providing smoking cessation services.
I hope this activity will be useful and meaningful for all of us even in the midst of a pandemic situation.” He said.
This event presents resource persons who are competent in their fields, including:
1. dr. I Nym Gunarta, MPH (Head of the Badung District Health Office) with the topic "Clinical Services for Quitting Smoking as a Solution to Stop Smoking for the Community in Badung Regency"
2. Dr. Rohani Budi Prihatin, S.Ag. M.SI –
(National TC Activist and DPR RI Researcher) with the topic "Tobacco Trends in Indonesia and Control Policies"
3. Dr. Putu Ayu Swandewi Astuti, MPH. PhD (Chairman of Udayana CENTRAL) with the topic "Development of a KBM Strengthening System in the Health Service System in Badung Regency"
and present as moderator is Dr. dr. I Ketut Suarjana, MPH.
This activity was also attended by the Director of Hospitals in Badung Regency, Chair of the Regional Management of IAKMI Badung Branch, Heads of Health Centers throughout Badung Regency, Doctors on Duty at the Puskesmas and Persons in Charge of PTM Puskesmas.
Dr. Putu Ayu Swandewi Astuti, MPH. PhD as the Chairperson of Udayana CENTRAL on this occasion said, "Strengthening smoking cessation services can be done optimally by integrating various services and programs at the Puskesmas as well as secondary services, the capital is the integration of tuberculosis prevention programs, non-communicable diseases with smoking cessation efforts. This will have an impact on improving public health, especially in this COVID-19 pandemic situation. " he said.
This activity aims to formulate strategies and follow-up plans in an effort to strengthen smoking cessation services in order to create a healthy community in Badung Regency
