Maintaining Family Ties, Leaders and Representatives of the Academic Community Visit the Elders of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University

In the framework of the series of celebrations for the 63rd Anniversary of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. dr. Komang Januartha Putra Pinatih, M.Kes., together with the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Planning of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Dr. dr. I Gede Eka Wiratnaya, Sp.OT(K).,

Vice Dean for General Affairs and Finance of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Dr. dr. I Made Sudarmaja, M.Kes, and Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Information, Prof. dr. I Md Ady Wirawan, MPH, Ph.D who were accompanied by the Dharma Wanita Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, representatives of educational staff and representatives of students visited the elders, namely Prof. Dr. dr. Putu Astawa, Sp.OT(K)., M.Kes., dr. N.Wirya Duarsa, Sp.KK., and Prof. dr. I Dewa Putu Widjana, DAP&E, Sp. ParK at his residence. (18/03/25)

dr.N.Wirya Duarsa, Sp.KK is one of the elders who was also the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University for the period 1982-1989. During his service, he also contributed to the establishment of the Dermatology and Venereology Specialist Study Program which is currently called the Dermatology and Venereology Specialist Study Program at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University in 1971 together with the Head of the Dermatology and Venereology Division of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University/Dr.Soetomo Hospital, Surabaya, Prof. dr. Ibeni Ilias.

A brief look at Prof. dr. I Dewa Putu Widjana, DAP&E, Sp. ParK, he was the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University for the period 2004-2008 and when he was still active, he was a professor in the field of parasitology at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University. After retiring, he served as the Chancellor of Warmadewa University for the 2019-2023 period. Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. dr. Putu Astawa, Sp.OT (K)., M.Kes is a professor of Orthopaedics and also the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University for the 2013-2017 period.

On this occasion, Prof. Januartha also invited the elders to attend the peak of the BKFK event to maintain ties and honor the services that have been given by the elders while serving at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University.

This visit was also attended by representatives from students to provide insight into the elders who have contributed to the development of the institution and strengthen ties between generations.

On this occasion, the elders expressed their gratitude because FK Unud still remembers and respects the elders and professors who have contributed to the institution, and advised the younger generation to always maintain and develop the institution of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University.

The event, which was wrapped in a warm family atmosphere, ended with a group photo.
