World Oral Health Day of the Dental Student Association of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University 2025


In order to commemorate World Oral Health Day, the Dental Student Association (HMKG) of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University held the World Oral Health Day (WOHD) 2025 activity which is one of the Community Service work programs in the Dental Student Association (HMKG) of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Sarkara Cabinet in 2025 which took place at SD No. 12 Jimbaran, Taman Griya, Jimbaran, South Kuta. (3/20/2025)


The theme presented on this occasion was "A Happy Mouth is A Happy Mind: Brightest Smile for A Better Future" which means that a bright smile will have a positive influence on our minds and the lives we live.


World Oral Health Day (WOHD) 2025 lasted for one day consisting of several series of activities, namely socialization of dental and oral health, tooth brushing practice, followed by dental health checks, musical educational drama, and also a wall of hope. In addition, this activity also opens free dental check-ups in the school yard which can be attended by the entire general public, especially in the Jimbaran area.


This year's World Oral Health Day (WOHD) 2025 activity was chaired by Komang Trinita Cahyani (PSSKGPDG student class of 2024) and attended by 65 students of Elementary School No. 12 Jimbaran, 65 committee members, and 24 dental professional education students (Co-Ass) who helped in the dental and oral health check-up activities. In addition, this activity was also attended by the Coordinator of the Undergraduate Dentistry and Dentistry Profession Study Program represented by the HMKG Advisor, drg. Desak Nyoman Ari Susanti, M.Kes., several PSSKGPDG FK Unud lecturers, Principal of Elementary School No. 12 Jimbaran, Mr. I Wayan Suyasa, S.Pd., and the Chairperson of HMKG FK Unud 2025, I Nyoman Surya Rama Aditya.


Through this activity, it is hoped that education about dental and oral health can be spread more widely, can be beneficial for the wider community to increase awareness of the importance of maintaining dental and oral health, and participants can learn and practice independently how to care for dental and oral health properly.
