Anesthesiology and Intensive Therapy

1. The Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Therapy is one of the departments at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University (FK UNUD). The Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Therapy FK UNUD actively conducts educational activities for the Bachelor of Medicine, Professional Doctor, Specialist Doctor Education, as well as S2 and S3 Study Programs. First established in 1991, the Specialist Education Program-1 (PPDS-1) Anesthesiology and Intensive Therapy now has around 150 active students. The Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Therapy houses the Anesthesiology and Intensive Therapy Study Program (Prodi) of FK UNUD, which is one of the Anesthesiology and Intensive Therapy Study Programs with a GOOD status in the 2022 LAMPTKES accreditation. In 2024 Anesthesiology and Intensive Therapy Study Program will follow ASIIN International Accreditation. With the vision of "Making Anesthesiology and Intensive Therapy Specialist Study Program as a center of education, service, and research with excellence in the field of regional anesthesia and pain management to produce independent and superior graduates with a culture-based approach so that they can compete at the national, regional and global levels in 2025", the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Therapy FK UNUD is proven and trusted to produce superior graduates who have spread throughout Indonesia. Some routine agendas that continue to be carried out to improve the quality of education include community service in the form of basic life support (BHD) training; research and scientific publications, both domestically and abroad; Guest Lecture with speakers from both within the country and abroad, organizing online seminars in collaboration with docquity, and working with the Indonesian Society of Anesthesiology and Intensive Therapy Specialists (PERDATIN) in holding national and international symposiums and workshops.
