Surgery

The Department of Surgery is one of the departments at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University (FK UNUD), which was previously named the Department of Surgery. The Department of Surgery FK UNUD actively conducts educational activities for the Bachelor of Medicine Study Program, Professional Doctors, Surgical Specialties, as well as S2 and S3. The Department has 8 divisions, each of which is actively conducting research activities. The eight divisions are Pediatric Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Digestive Surgery, Oncology Surgery, Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Neurosurgery and Trauma Surgery. Research activities, both basic and clinical research are also the main agenda that continues to be developed with innovation and collaboration with both domestic and foreign institutions. Featured research topics include pediatric surgery, vascular surgery, digestive surgery, oncology surgery, thoracic and cardiovascular surgery, plastic surgery, neurosurgery and trauma surgery. In addition, community service activities are also routinely carried out together with other departments at FK UNUD as well as with the Bali Branch of the Indonesian Association of Surgeons (IKABI) and all OPLBs from all divisions in Bali.
