3rd Bali Clinical Nutrition Update 2025
In an effort to strengthen scientific collaboration and improve the quality of clinical services in the fields of Anti-Aging, Cancer Prevention, and Clinical Nutrition, the Clinical Nutrition Specialty Study Program of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, in collaboration with the Indonesian Association of Clinical Nutritionists (PDGKI) and Prof. Ngoerah General Hospital, Denpasar, held an annual scientific event titled "3rd Bali Clinical Nutrition Update 2025." The three-day event, from Friday to Sunday, October 24–26, 2025, took place at the Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel, Kuta, Bali.
With the theme "Keeping Up with Trends in Anti-Aging, Cancer Prevention Research & Clinical Nutrition," the event aimed to update healthcare professionals' insights while strengthening interprofessional networks in the development of cutting-edge, evidence-based clinical nutrition science, with a focus on preventing degenerative diseases and improving patients' quality of life.
The event officially opened with remarks from the Chair of the Committee, Dr. The opening remarks were delivered by Dr. Ni Putu Sumartini, M.Kes, Sp.GK, Subsp.PK, followed by the President Director of Prof. Ngoerah General Hospital, Dr. I Wayan Sudana, M.Kes, and the Vice Dean for General Affairs and Finance of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Dr. dr. I Made Muliartha, M.Kes. In their remarks, they emphasized the importance of cross-institutional synergy in strengthening evidence-based education, research, and clinical practice in the modern medical era.
Also present were the Chairperson of the PDGKI Central Board, Dr. Nur Asnati, M.Kes, Sp.GK, Subsp.K.M., and the Chairperson of the College of Clinical Nutrition, Prof. dr. Agus Salim Bukhari, M.Med, Ph.D., Sp.GK, Subsp.K.M. Additionally, the Chairperson of the PDGKI Bali Branch, Dr. Agustinus I Wayan Harimawan, MPH, Sp.GK, Subsp.PK, delivered remarks and presented the vision, mission, and collaboration for clinical nutrition professional education in Indonesia.
The Bali Clin Up 2025 event was also attended by professors, including Prof. Dr. dr. Nurpudji Astuti Taslim, MPH, Sp.GK, Subsp.P.K and Prof. dr. I Wayan Weta, M.S., Sp.GK, Subsp.K.M, who provided in-depth insights into anti-aging approaches, personalized nutrition therapy, and nutritional strategies for cancer prevention.
The symposium was attended by 328 participants from various regions in Indonesia, including clinical nutrition specialists, general practitioners, residents, academics, and healthcare workers from various educational institutions, government and private hospitals, and from various regions such as Jakarta, Surabaya, Bandung, Makassar, Yogyakarta, Semarang, Sumatra, Kalimantan, West Nusa Tenggara, East Nusa Tenggara, Maluku, and Papua. Additionally, 113 participants in the scientific poster competition, also from various regions in Indonesia, demonstrated their high enthusiasm for the development of clinical nutrition science and the latest research in the fields of anti-aging, cancer, and personalized nutrition therapy.
During the three-day event, participants actively engaged in symposiums, panel discussions, thematic workshops, and interactive sessions that brought together academics, clinicians, and researchers from various regions. This event served as a strategic platform for knowledge sharing, strengthening collaborative research, and expanding scientific networks in the field of clinical nutrition.
The 3rd Bali Clinical Nutrition Update 2025 is expected to generate new ideas, interdisciplinary collaboration, and concrete steps to strengthen comprehensive, sustainable, nutrition-based healthcare services that are oriented toward improving the community's quality of life.
