Bakti Alam 2025

Bakti Alam 2025

Bakti Alam 2025 is one of TBM Janar Dūta's work programs that focuses on preserving nature through real action. This year, this program carries a sustainable solution in processing organic waste based on maggots, by prioritizing the concept of natural recycling: maggots consume organic waste, produce fertilizer, fertilizer is used to plant trees, and the fruit produced can be reused or processed by maggots if not used.

The Bakti Alam 2025 activity was held on June 1, 2025, at the Penataran Agung Nangka Temple Parking Lot, Banjar Dinas Nangka, Bhuana Giri Village, Bebandem District, Karangasem Regency.

The series of events began with an environmental-themed photography competition which was held a few days earlier and succeeded in attracting 169 participants from high school students/equivalent to the general public. This competition aims to invite the public to love nature more through visual media and encourage active involvement in environmental issues.

On June 1, 2025, the main event of Bakti Alam 2025 was officially opened with the cutting of a banner by Bendesa Adat, I Ketut Oka, as a symbol of the start of the activity. This opening was then continued with symbolic planting carried out by representatives of the community and students. This moment marked a joint commitment to starting concrete steps to preserve the environment.

After the opening ceremony, the activity continued with a maggot cultivation workshop as an environmentally friendly solution for processing organic waste. This workshop presented Umahpupa (Edwin Lubis) as the main speaker. The material was delivered interactively and applicatively, introducing maggot cultivation methods that can be applied directly by the community as a real step to reduce household organic waste.

The series of activities continued with the presentation of material on how to plant trees by Ns. I Kadek Saputra, S.Kep, M.Erg until entering the tree planting activity of 300 seedlings consisting of avocado, jackfruit, guava, mango, orange, and sandat trees - typical Balinese trees that have aesthetic and cultural value. Planting was carried out at points that had been agreed upon with local residents, with the hope of providing ecological, economic, and social benefits for future generations.

The 2025 Bakti Alam activity was carried out with a spirit of collaboration between students, the community, and village officials. Active participation from various parties also colored the course of the event. Present from internal circles included representatives of BEM Tirza Faithania Amaris, representatives of HMIK Ni Kadek Dwi Indriani, representatives of HMFISIO Made Dian Juliastini, and Chairperson of KMPL Si Ayu Bella Shanty Jagadhita. The tree planting process was facilitated by six members of KMPL.

From external parties, this activity was also attended by Bendesa Adat Bapak I Ketut Oka, representatives from the Karangasem Environmental Service (DLH), Babinsa and Babinkamtibmas.

The event was closed well and souvenirs were given in the form of tree seeds to participants as a form of collective commitment to protecting the environment. Publication of this activity was also carried out through social media in the hope of reaching more parties and inspiring similar movements in various regions.

Bakti Alam 2025 is not just about one day's activities, but about planting values, building awareness, and nurturing hope for a more sustainable future.
